- Dog's owner must be a member in good standing of the SSCA, and must have
been a member at the time each submitted score was earned.
- All submitted scores and times must be verified by printouts from the AKC website.
- The contest year is defined as January 1 through December 31,
.
- All submitted scores must be earned during the contest year.
- Only qualifying scores from preferred titling classes (not regular) may be submitted.
- Owners applying for Preferred Agility Dog of the Year must submit a CHIC number or submit results for requirements for a CHIC number as
specified by SSCA.
NOTE: passing test results are not required for a dog to be eligible for this award.
Standard Schnauzer Preferred Agility Dog of the Year:
- Scoring is based on the average of five (5) qualifying scores from the preferred
Excellent or Masters Level of Standard or Jumpers with Weaves with a minimum of three (3) of
those scores coming from qualifying runs earned in the Preferred Standard Class.
- In the case of a tie, the winner will be the dog with the highest total time under Preferred Standard Course Time (SCT).
Open Preferred Agility Standard Schnauzer:
- Dog must have an OAP or OJP title.
- Scoring is based on the average of three (3) qualifying scores from
the preferred Open level of Standard or Jumpers with Weaves classes with a
minimum of two (2) of those scores coming from qualifying runs earned in the Preferred Standard Class.
- In case of a tie, the winner will be the dog with the highest total
time under Preferred Standard Course Time (SCT).
If a tie still exists, tied submissions will be honored with a certificate.
Novice Preferred Agility Standard Schnauzer:
- Dog must have a NAP or NJP title.
- Scoring is based on the average of three (3) qualifying scores
from the Preferred Novice level of Standard or Jumpers with Weaves
with a minimum of two (2) of those scores coming from qualifying runs
earned in the Preferred Standard Class.
- In the case of a tie, the winner will be the dog with the highest
total time under Preferred Standard Course Time (SCT).
If a tie still exists, tied submissions will be honored with a certificate.
Standard Schnauzer Preferred Agility Dog of the Year: The SSCA offers one Annual Award Plaque to the owner(s) of the winning dog.
Open Preferred Agility Standard Schnauzer: The SSCA offers one Award Certificate to the owner(s) of the winning dog.
Novice Preferred Agility Standard Schnauzer: The SSCA offers one Award Certificate to the owner(s) of the winning dog.
Space will be reserved for a photo honoring the Preferred Agility Dog of the Year inside the
Pepper 'N Salt November issue. Space for photos honoring the
Preferred Novice Agility Dog and Preferred Open Agility Dog will be reserved inside the Pepper 'N Salt
November issue. The photo should show the dog engaged in the activity for
which he/she won the award and must be provided by the owner to the editors
by the publication deadline for the appropriate issue. Printed information
accompanying the photo is limited to the dog's name, sire and dam, and owner(s)
and breeder(s) names. Photo size and layout are to be determined by the editors.
Printouts from the AKC website with the scores you are submitting underlined must
be included with this form for all trial scores being used.
