To be eligible for this award, the Junior Handler must abide by the rules set up by the AKC for Junior Handlers.
Awards are offered only to those Junior Handlers who are members of the SSCA,
or someone in their immediate family (defined below) who is a member of the SSCA.
Only points received for wins with a Standard Schnauzer will be counted.
The Junior Handler who wishes to compete for this award must be
responsible for submitting all points to their respective
Regional Director. All entries must be made on or before
The Junior Handler must also abide by the General Rules governing the
SSCA where applicable.
The Standard Schnauzer must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or a member of
the Junior Handler's family who is a member in good standing of the SSCA
(father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother, including step and half relations).
Every Standard Schnauzer entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in
Conformation, Obedience Trials, or Agility Trials. A dog that has been excused or
disqualified by a Breed Judge or a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior
Showmanship, provided the dog is eligible to compete in Obedience Trials, or Agility Trials. A
dog that has been rejected, dismissed, or excused by the veterinarian for the protection of
other dogs at the show or for its own protection may not be handled in Junior Showmanship.
