• Dog's owner must be a member in good standing of the SSCA and must have been a member at the time each of the submitted points were earned.

Members whose dogs are competing for the Standard Schnauzer Conformation Dog of the Year or Conformation Dog Opposite Sex Awards are individually responsible for submitting data and all points claimed to their respective Regional Directors. All entries must be postmarked on or before Only ONE plaque will be created per dog, per award.

Information relative to each entry must include all data requested on the entry form:

• Registered name of dog, AKC number, sex, and
  

  If the dog is 2 years of age or older
  (a) CHIC number with PASSING test results
  

  
  

  If the dog is under 2 years of age
  (b) required tests for a CHIC number as specified by the SSCA with passing test scores
  

  
  (A dog must be tested at 2 years or over to receive a CHIC number.)
  
• Owner's name, address, and phone number
• List of wins (show, location, date, and points claimed - breed and all breed)
• Member's signature is required before you U.S. mail your entry. Overnight deliveries, certified mail, etc. must have signature requirements waived.
• Incomplete entries will not be accepted. All entries must be received in their entirety by the deadline.

Proof of wins can be from one of the following reports which can be obtained from the AKC:

• Purchase from the AKC Store the "overall" Dogs Defeated Report. This report does NOT include Best of Opposite wins.
• Purchase from the AKC Store the Awards Record Report. This report does NOT include Dogs Defeated.
• Print from the Event and Awards Search. You can locate shows attended and print a hard copy of your win(s). This will include BOB, BOS and BOW wins.

Determination of the winners shall be made by identifying the dog/bitch having accumulated the greatest number of points according to the established scoring system. The Best of Opposite Sex Award shall be given to the dog/bitch of the opposite sex to the Standard Schnauzer of the Year who accumulated the greatest number of points according to the established scoring system.

Each Regional Director will forward all confirmed points by March 1, to the Awards Chairperson. The Awards Chairperson will then determine the top ten (10) Standard Schnauzers nationally.

Win	Points Awarded
Best of Breed	Count 1 point for each SS in competition (do NOT count yourself)
Best of Opposite Sex	Count 1 point for each SS in the same sex competition. (do NOT count yourself) If the Best of Winners (BOW) is the same sex as the BOS, then the BOS will receive 1 point for each class dog and class bitch in competition
GROUP 1	Add 50 points to the Best of Breed (BOB) score
GROUP 2	Add 40 points to the Best of Breed (BOB) score
GROUP 3	Add 30 points to the Best of Breed (BOB) score
GROUP 4	Add 20 points to the Best of Breed (BOB) score
Reserve Best in Show	Add 75 points to the Best of Breed (BOB) score (do NOT include the Group 1 score in the total)
Best in Show	Add 100 points to the Best of Breed (BOB) score (do NOT include the Group 1 score in the total)

Printouts from the AKC website, as described above, must be included with the Conformation Dog form.

When completed, print them, and U.S. mail to your Regional Awards Director.
