Members, whose dogs are competing for Stud Dog/Brood Bitch Awards, are individually responsible for submitting all required data and all offspring claimed to their respective Regional Directors. All entries must be postmarked on or before Only ONE plaque will be created per dog per award.

Dogs and bitches entered in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch annual Awards must have (a) CHIC number with PASSING test results if the dog is over 2 years of age, or (b) required tests for a CHIC number as specified by the SSCA with passing test scores, if the dog is younger than 2 years. (A dog must be tested at 2 years or over to receive a CHIC number.)
In the event frozen semen from a dog deceased prior to January 1, 2014 is utilized, that dog must have an OFA clearance for his application to be considered for "Stud Dog of the Year". If using frozen semen from a dog deceased on or after January 1, 2014, the above CHIC requirements apply.

Information relative to the offspring must include:

• Registered name of the dog and AKC Number
• Name of sire and dam
• Name, place, and date of show where finished
• Copies of the offspring championship title certificate issued by the AKC, if available, or print from the AKC Store the Points and Awards for each new champion offspring.

The dog/bitch having the greatest number of immediate offspring (sons and daughters) to finish their championships during the contest (calendar) year shall be declared the winner(s). In the case of a tie, there will be no run-off, and all winners tied will share in equal awards.

Stud Dog/Brood Bitch owner must be a member in good standing of the SSCA and must have been a member at the time each of the submitted titles were earned. Offspring finishing their championships prior to the effective date of membership of Stud Dog/Brood Bitch owner may not be counted in the competition.

Owners of offspring of dogs/bitches in competition for Stud Dog/Brood Bitch are exempt from the SSCA membership requirements.

Printouts from the AKC website, as described above, must be included with the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch form.

Overnight deliveries, certified mail, etc. must have signature requirements WAIVED .
Incomplete entries will not be accepted. All entries must be received in their entirety by the deadline.
