are considered eligible for an award if a family member (as described in the

-
New members of the SSCA are eligible for awards from the date their membership
takes effect. Points accumulated and/or titles obtained prior to this date cannot be counted.
-
A dog that has been disqualified from showing under the rules of the AKC
is ineligible to compete for an award unless it is reinstated by April 15th
of the following year. (See special rules for Junior Handler competition.)
-
The American Kennel Club will be the official source of confirmation of
all points/titles claimed by the contestant.
-
The year of competition will run from January 1 through December 31 inclusive.
Only wins from this period will be counted. Final awards will be announced after
winners' points and scores have been confirmed.

Contestants will forward all competition data to their Regional Director for the area
in which the owner of the dog lives no later than February 1, 2021.
-
The Annual Awards Committee is composed of the Regional Directors and the Committee
Chairperson. The Companion & Performance Chairperson is responsible for the Obedience,
Rally, Herding, and Versatility submissions.
The Agility Chairperson is responsible for the Agility submissions.
-
Points claimed will be forwarded to the Regional Director and are accepted on a
tentative basis pending confirmation by the Regional Directors. This rule does
not apply to Companion & Performance Awards or Agility Awards.
-
Contestants submitting material for the Companion & Performance Awards or
Agility Awards will forward their scores directly to the Companion & Performance
Chairperson or Agility Chairperson no later than February 1. (See Annual Awards program information in the specific sections.)
